Owner Louise van der Merwe created Blush Academy as a quality academic institution where students can study for accredited diploma's in make-up artistry, hairdressing and beauty therapy. 

Louise have been in the industry for more than 20 years and is a professional Make-up Artist and a Beauty Therapist she is also a certified International - Kryolan professional make-up trainer and firm believer in the brand. She has travelled internationally for training with Kryolan professional make-up - Learning from top international artists like Jos Brands, Paul Merchant & Emilie Guillermin.

With years of experience in the industry, she is just the right person to talk to regarding the beauty industry.

Jacob Kirchner

Owner Jacob Kirchner always had a passion for the creative arts and tranquility of beauty. In 2004 he went to Film School and achieved a Production Design and Art Direction Diploma. After working in the industry for a couple years he established the company Martiq to start training learners in the art of Make-up, Prosthetics, Nails and Beauty. Continuously upgrading his skills through the years he currently holds 4 International Diplomas in the field of Make-up artistry and advance Prosthetics. Our team has over 12 years of training experience with excellent results and we look forward to opening the door to your future.
